This Unity Communique is an official agreement that took place in the State of Minnesota, USA, on 12/29/2025. It reflects the fruition of long and very important engaged discussions on unity among the leaders of Gadabursi Council. Such discussions have given birth to this Communique; and it was endorsed and signed by the members of the Council.

- Professor Abdisamad Nageeye (President of Awdal State); and
- Dr. Ali Ibrahim Bahar (leader of Awdal State Movement).
The leaders recognized the challenges facing the people of Awdal, and they all agreed to unite their efforts in the common interest of defending the State of Awdal and its people. The people of Awdal are currently trying to make sense of the avoidable and unnecessary tragic mass killings of her youth in Borama city, as well as the attack by tribal militia mobilized and financed by neighboring countries, now terrorizing parts of Awdal, Zeila district in particular. Communication is signaling shared goals and agreements among the leaders, focusing on building trust and reinforcing common values to move the people of Awdal toward. The envisaged objective prioritizes the establishment of Awdal State as an autonomous entity within a federal Somalia, aiming to empower its community and restore our historical significance in the region. We strive to honor our rich cultural heritage while addressing contemporary challenges we are now facing. The people of Awdal are known for being industrious communities, people of shared purpose of self-help, while striving to achieve their state development and prosperity for future of her population.
