Declaration and Clarification Regarding Awdal State

Awdal State constitutes a legitimate political, cultural, and historical entity that has emerged clearly and consensually from the collective will and unity of the Gadabuursi community. This initiative is grounded in an existing reality and responds to a long-standing and fundamental need for equitable representation, justice, and self-administration.

Any attempt to challenge or deny the role of Awdal State as the framework for representation and expression of the Gadabuursi community represents a departure from the collective decision and the shared will of that community. Such a position does not negate an individual’s origin or affiliation, but rather reflects a divergence from the orientation, interests, and strategic choices collectively adopted by the Gadabuursi community.

In this context, support for Awdal State represents:

• A clear expression of loyalty, cohesion, and communal unity;
• A legitimate recognition based on the collective interest;
• A commitment to defending the dignity, rights, and aspirations of the Gadabuursi community.

In conclusion, Awdal State embodies the political and collective identity of the Gadabuursi community and represents the freely and jointly chosen destiny of that community.
